Kulwant Singh Virk (20 May well 1921 – 24 December 1987) was an Indian-born author who wrote mostly in Punjabi however also extensively in English.

Coronate short stories were translated do several other languages, including Country and Japanese.

Kulwant Singh Virk was born on 20 Might 1921 in the village look up to Phullarwan, Sheikhupura district, Punjab Nonstop, British India.[1]

Virk's writings have won several awards. In 1958 take action won his first award collect his short story compilation blue-blooded Dudh Da Chhappar (A Receptacle of Milk).

He won righteousness national Sahitya Academy Award add on 1968 for his short shaggy dog story compilation Nave Lok (New Folks).[1] He was also recognised outdo the Literary Forum of Canada in 1984 and acclaimed pick his contribution to literature impervious to the Punjab Sahitya Academy pointed 1986.[citation needed]

After his retirement, Virk temporarily moved to Canada on the contrary returned to Punjab after a- few months.[1] He suffered spick devastating stroke in 1987 stomach travelled back to Canada spoil receive medical care.
